29 May 2025 (Cesena, Italy)
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Cesena Campus, the University of Bologna, promoted a reading cycle on dissonant heritage: "Reading Heritage".
This last meeting will comment the book by Marco Pretelli, Sara Di Resta and Giulia Favaretto "Materiali autarchici", which we highly recommend reading for students, technical offices of public administrations and professionals.
What that season of research and experimental application of technical and material innovations teaches us more than anything else is that architecture must always respond to social needs, that research cannot be used for purposes other than social and people's well-being. Those researches gave concrete answers to the needs of a new architecture, until the Regime asked to bend architecture and research to monumental and propaganda purposes.
