This event took place on 29 May 2026 at the Ministry of Culture in Rome. It is the First Plenary Assembly of the Council of Europe’s Cultural Routes in Italy: an important opportunity for study, discussion and dialogue between institutions, local authorities, associations and stakeholders.
Italy plays a central role in this field, being part of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe since its establishment in 2010. Our country now has the highest number of recognised Cultural Routes.
The four sessions will be focusing on the key strategic issues relating to the Cultural Routes certified by the Council of Europe, with a particular emphasis on the role of the Ministry of Culture in promoting Cultural Routes, management and governance, funding and access to European funds, and partnerships and forms of cooperation between the Routes.
