The Municiapality of Carbonia, with the support of ATRIUM Association, organises the second edition of the Heritage Festival on 18/19 May 2019.
The festival is organized within the context of a major project promoting and regenerating the cultural, historical and urban heritage of the territory in a sustainable way: slow mobility, cultural, outdoor activities (sports, recreation, culture). The project offers the opportunity especially for young people to discover cultural diversity and reflect on the role of cultural heritage in our lives, thus enabling us to understand the past and face the future.
The 2019 edition of the Heritage Festival focuses on the so-called “medaus”, settlements dating back to the 17th and 18th century and expression of the agricultural and bucolic tradition of the territory. The surroundings of Carbonia are characterized by these small settlements, which are still inhabited and revived by its communities.
