A conversation with Maestro Danilo Rossi

In occasion of the public screening of the vidoclip DANILO ROSSI "The Great Gig in the Sky", a conversation with Danilo Rossi, first viola of the Teatro della Scala in Milan, will be conducted by Gino Castaldo, an importatnt journalist and music critic. The meeting focusses new uses of cultural heritage and the importance of cultural innovation being anchored to the memory and identity of places. Introduction by Marco Cortesi and Mara Moschini.

The event is connected to the production of a videoclip (produced by Accademia Perduta/Romagna Teatri), showing Maestro Danilo Rossi playing Pink Floyd's famous piece "The Great Gig in the Sky" in the rooms of the former Santarelli preschool at Forlì, accompanid by Maestro Stefano Bezzicchieri (piano). The Santarelli preschool has been used from 1937 to 2011. Today, it is being transformed into a cultural hub including a public library and an interpretation centre of  Forlì’s open-air museum focusing on the architectural heritage deriving from the Fascist regime - with the aim of promoting this cultural heritage.

The restoration of the former Santarelli preschool and its new uses is a project co-financed by the European Structural Fund, managed by the Region Emilia-Romagna.
